Spring break is here, and I couldn’t be happier. After taking some of the most stressful midterms of my entire existence (the econ midterm avg was a 50%, yay me 🙂 ) spring break couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Definitely using this week to do some spring cleaning, both physically and mentally. I’m always telling myself that I’ll get my shit together, and I’ll be super motivated for a good week or two before I start to slow down and go back to my normal routine, but I can tell that this time, it’s different. I’m making checklists like usual, but what’s different this time around is that I’m actually completely everything on the list, and it honestly feels amazing. I’m still trying to figure out what type of work ethic works best for me and tweaking things here and there, but I’m making progress, and that’s all that matters to me.
Going along the lines of spring cleaning, I found this punky (yet super soft) long sleeve from Cottonon that has the words “Carpe Noctum” on it, which directly translates to “seize the night” which is exactly what I’ve been doing every night of spring break. Now this can mean different things depending on who you ask, but for me, it means doing things with a purpose, and making the most out of the time that you have. And even if it may be counterproductive to spend hours working at night, it works for me; and getting up earlier in the day will be a task for another day.
As for the rest of the outfit, I noticed it was lacking a bit of color-well more like any color at all-so I tied a flannel around my waist to add some variety and color; plus I just really like the combo of flannels and ripped jeans, aka why I may have 5 flannels in my closet as of right now hehe
